Our Mission
Employers say graduates arrive unprepared, yet students with real work experience are far more likely to get hired. Too few students get that experience, and too few managers have the time to guide them. Our mission is to close that gap by bringing accountability to work-based learning, so every student graduates hireable and every manager can mentor at scale.

Our People
CareerStar is led by founder and CEO Clara Fletcher, a former Accenture Managing Director who ran the North America junior talent development pipeline and holds 11 patents in digital security. It is shaped every day by the people who use it: our partners at the NYC Tech Talent Pipeline and CUNY 2X Tech, faculty champions across CUNY campuses, and the students and interns who have helped design and build the platform.

Today it is live software helping hundreds of students, professors, and program leads run their internships, capstones, co-ops, fellowships, service learning, and lab requirements in one place, with every hour documented and verified by the supervisors who saw the work. We are growing steadily at our partner institutions and looking for more programs that want to be part of what comes next.
